Mindfulness Moment #41 is a little dark and morbid. It’s also inspired both by a re-watch of Charmed (the episode where they go to the future – the original Charmed, of course) and recent family events.
What words will be etched into your tombstone?

I did warn you that it was darker than normal. The cemetery picture is one from a trip to Knoxville, TN, and I would want traveler on my tombstone. Traveling became a priority for me over a decade ago, and that choice changed my life in many ways.
I do think even darker thoughts can be mindfulness moments and they are important too. In Charmed, Prue worried that her tombstone would say that she worked hard, and that’s been my worry too. Yes, money is necessary, and we do what we must. I try to remind myself frequently that I need to live, not just survive. It seems my characters often fight this battle too as fiction does reflect truth.
What would you regret not doing/ saying if you didn’t have tomorrow?
What would you prioritize if you knew today was your last day?
You don’t owe me any answers, but I think there are times that we owe ourselves answers…and truthful ones. It’s cliche, but important to live like we are dying. It can also be very freeing.
Take a moment for yourself. Breathe and decide what you’d want your tombstone to say, and then live your life to make it true.
